Report: Slovakia expects 50% lower gas supplies from Russia on Fri

PRAGUE, Jun 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gas supplies to Slovakia will decrease by 50% on Friday, CEO of Slovakia’s gas importer SPP Richard Prokypcak said as quoted by web portal Ceske noviny.

“According to Prokypcak, the Russian side has notified SPP of reduction of gas supplies by 50% on Friday. Prokypcak also mentioned the risk of full termination of gas deliveries from Russia to Slovakia, but, in his opinion, the events do not threaten the company’s operations,” Ceske noviny reported.

“The supplies of Russian gas to Slovakia fell by 10% on Wednesday and by 34% on Thursday earlier this week.”

On Thursday, SPP expected a 30% fall in Russian gas supplies, basing on the information of Russian gas giant Gazprom.
